Dave Raup is a retired geek living on a small island in Lake Michigan. His work is dominated by 3D raytracing, using POVray software as a platform -- with occasional inclusion of photographic images. POV-Ray is especially good for rendering complex patterns of light and shadow, allowing for the full spectrum from fantasy through surrealism to purely natural scenes.
